Soprano
Michelle de Foubert
We lost Michelle suddenly in May 2024. We will miss her huge and sweet voice, but most of all we will miss her laughter and joy in the world.

Bass
Garrett Cahill
Garret Cahill was a founder member of MusiCórum (2019-). He had shared the quality of his voice and his profound musicality with various choirs in Cork over the last three decades, but to MusiCórum he also brought his professional skills by being its librarian, and a combination of perspicacity, loyalty and commitment to its committee.
On Saturday 24 May 2025 the members of the choir were puzzled when he didn't appear for the dress rehearsal and performance in Holy Trinity Church, Crosshaven. Barely an hour before the repeat performance on Sunday 25 May 2025 in the Honan Chapel, UCC, the choir learnt of his death. The searing performance it proceeded to give of Monteverdi's Mass in F for four voices, bookended by two further performances of Milo McCarthy's magnificent new motet, Animam meam levavi, was the first tribute it paid - the second was being asked by the family to sing at the memorial service on Thursday 29 May 2025. At the choir's rehearsal weekend earlier in the month, Garret had been voluble about the pleasure he was getting from singing the Monteverdi and how impressed he was with Milo McCarthy's work.
In the address given at the memorial service by UCC's Alan Carbery, Garret's intelligence, linguistic skills (he recently completed an MA in Irish Studies), supportive and empathetic character were highlighted as making him a much valued colleague in UCC's Library. We all appreciated his dry and sharp wit, and that he was never one to push himself into the limelight. His collegiate nature also made him a wonderful chorister and MusiCórum is much the poorer for his passing.

Lorcan O Byrne
We lost Lorcan suddenly in recent weeks, and its hard to convey how much of a shock this is.
